KAP can be an opportunity to practice engaging more fully with life— of experimenting with putting down our armors, extending kindness and warmth to the dark places inside, and reconnecting to the humanity within that connects us all.

When combined with supportive psychotherapy, safe, legal, medically-prescribed sublingual Ketamine offers the opportunity to facilitate new neural networks and patterns, prompt growth and transformation, and increase access to creativity, spirituality, and innate wisdom.

KAP can help to relieve symptoms of:

  • PTSD and Complex PTSD

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • OCD

  • Burnout and fatigue…

… and restore or develop for the first time your connection to resilience, trust, and your inner healing capacity.

An overview of the process:

Ketamine is the only legal psychedelic medicine, and when used appropriately, it temporarily quiets the brain’s Default Mode Network — pausing the way that we learn to reflexively make assessments and interpretations of events based on past experiences. This important pause in our typical meaning-making system allows for new perspectives, stories, and narratives to unfold. It allows us to witness ourselves without anxiety or judgment, which can facilitate powerful shifts in how we experience mental health ‘symptoms’ like traumatic reminders and anxiety or depressive episodes. Ketamine can be a bit of a reset— to be with ourselves and thus our relationships in new and refreshing ways.

The acute effects of the medication tend to be quite pleasant, because of Ketamine’s anxiolytic (anxiety-reducing) properties. This typically lasts anywhere between 45-75 minutes, which makes it very well-suited for use in psychotherapy settings. After these immediate effects wear off, the real work begins— of making sense of the experience, and finding ways to integrate what you’ve learned into your daily life. Because Ketamine tends to increase plasticity in the brain, it makes new connections and practices available and accessible. With steady and consistent effort, and the support of a trained therapist facilitator, this process can yield remarkable results in maintaining reduction in symptoms, as well in improving communication and boundaries within relationships, increasing connection to creativity and spirituality, and offering renewed awareness of our priorities and commitment to living fully.

If you’re interested and eligible, we work together to customize a treatment plan based on your goals and needs. A typical course of KAP treatment includes a series of 3-6 rounds of:

  • Preparation sessions, to determine where to focus our attention

  • A dosing session (upon medical evaluation and clearance, you obtain and self-administer the medicine during an extended psychotherapy session)

  • Follow-up/integration sessions, to support you in bringing the insights into your daily life.

My goal in offering this service is to support the process of knowing ourselves more deeply, and to help my clients find new ways to move through the pain and hardening that comes with the stressors of modern life. Please contact me to discuss further details and specifics, including fees. I reserve some reduced-fee options in order to keep KAP’s benefits as accessible as possible.
