Negative behaviors begin as adaptations-- to help us survive challenging times-- and easily turn into habits and patterns that are hard to break. Together we will help you and your young person develop more productive and effective ways of coping with stress.

Through play and expressive arts, talk, and somatic work, I help with:

-
Anxiety and panic
-
Attentional differences and making sense of neurodiversity
-
Emotion regulation (learning to manage feelings without blowing up or shutting down)
-
Transitions (such as parental separation, moving)
-
Coping after being witness to frightening events (in their immediate or larger community)
-
Confidence and self-esteem challenges (including body image issues)
-
Emotional regulation (learning to manage feelings without blowing up or shutting down)

In general, I believe in working very closely with parents of school-aged children. This will bring you and your child closer and help you know how best to support them. Adolescents tend to need more privacy, but our collaboration continues to be essential as you and your family support your teen's growth, healing, and self-discovery.
